    Main comments:

About one third to one half (literally) of this book is just problems, and they don’t have answers to them*!

They mix some real companies, with some made up ones,

I bet most of them are made up, along with the data.

It’s creepy to work problems with made up companies/data and without answers to the problems!

    Says copyright 2011, 2008, 2006, but I received the book in 2010!

*except for about 10 multiple choice questions each chapter, and a few in the reading portions.

    positives:

    helpful charts, and diagrams. Readable.

    Overall:

It needs more answers to problems!

I ordered this book three months ago and was given the wrong edition. After emailing her she said she was sorry she didn’t respond for about a week because she was out of the country. However, did not want to give me my my money back if I returned it. I then responded back with another email telling her she made a mistake I really would like if you will take it back. She never emailed be back. I then emailed her another couple of times and no response. I would definitely recommend NOT buying from bookseller. Especially if you end up with the wrong book. The worst seller I have ever dealt with on any site, and did not even have the common courtesy to email me back.

It was my first year taking an accounting course and this textbook was very helpful. It offers tips and suggestions to help you remember certain formulas/ratios. It even offers practice quizzes to test your knowledge to see whether or not you understand each chapter and what it is discussing.

I am a professor of accounting at a community college. If you have the opportuntity to use this accounting text consider yourself blessed. It is easy to understand and actually interesting, qualitites not often used to describe accounting texts. I highly recommend it.
